Wine Tasting Experiences & Prices
If you're looking for wine tasting in Marlborough, our tasting room is a great place to start. We offer a few ways to taste, depending on how much guidance you would like and how much time you’ve got:
Self-guided | $15 pp, 45 minutes - Choose four wines and guide your own tasting using the notes provided.
Guided | $25 pp, 45 minutes - One of our team will guide you through a selection of Jackson Estate wines. The range, the varietals, and the reasoning behind what we grow and how we make it.
Private tasting | $90 pp, 1.5 hours - Our most considered experience, held in the wine cave beneath the tasting room. An intimate, architecturally designed space by Brian Massey, art director of The Hobbit trilogy. We'll take you through the standout wines in our range at a pace that lets the wines speak. Worth the time.
The Story Behind Our Tasting Room
Our tasting room in Blenheim sits alongside our working winery and Homestead Vineyard, offering a direct connection to how our wines are grown and made. Its rustic façade is crafted from reclaimed materials.
Designed by Brian Massey (art director of The Hobbit trilogy), the tasting room was imagined as a meeting point between old and new. It’s a space built to be welcoming, somewhere you can taste, relax, and take in the atmosphere as well as the wine.
Over winter, we’ve done a lot of work with Little & Fox renovating the inside of our tasting room, so the experience now matches the look of the outside.
Private Tastings in The Cave
Beneath the tasting room, our Cave offers an intimate setting designed for a more immersive tasting experience. It’s ideal for small groups, special occasions, or those wanting a more private visit.
The Cave offers an in-depth guided tasting that goes into the vineyard, the vintage, and the stories behind each wine. It’s led by our team, and sometimes by our winemaker, Matt Patterson-Green, when he’s on site.

Planning Your Visit to Our Cellar Door
We’re based in Blenheim, Marlborough, just a stone’s throw from Blenheim Airport. It’s ideal if you’re fitting a wine tasting in Blenheim into your arrival or departure day.
Our tasting room is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, through the summer season, from November to February.

A self-guided tasting is $15 pp for 45 minutes, with four wines of your choice. A guided tasting is $25 pp for 45 minutes. A private tasting in the Cave is $90 pp for 1.5 hours, booked online or arranged with our team.
We reopen on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Through the summer season, from November to February, we're open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
