Welcome to Jackson Estate Cellar Door, a relaxed and authentic Marlborough wine tasting experience set amongst our vines, just minutes from Blenheim and a stone’s throw from Blenheim Airport.
Our tastings are unhurried, personal and grounded in the stories of our vineyards. This is Marlborough wine as we know it - shaped by site, season and time.
Set amongst the vines, and built as one of Marlborough’s most distinctive cellar doors - it’s an easy tasting to fit in, and a memorable one to take with you.

The Story Behind Our Cellar Door
Our cellar door sits alongside our working winery and Homestead Vineyard, offering a direct connection to how our wines are grown and made. The rustic façade, crafted from reclaimed materials, opens into a warm contemporary tasting room - an inviting space that feels quietly removed, yet conveniently close to everything Marlborough has to offer.
Designed by Brian Massey (art director of The Hobbit trilogy), the winery and cellar door were imagined as a meeting point between old and new. The design nods to the region’s early settler hut structures, while reflecting the Jackson Estate ethos of modern pioneers - the new and the old colliding to create one of Marlborough’s most distinctive cellar doors.
It’s a space built to be welcoming - somewhere you can taste, relax, and take in the atmosphere as well as the wine.

Tasting Options
A visit to our Cellar Door is the perfect way to experience Jackson Estate for yourself. Surrounded by our vines and the beautiful Marlborough landscape, it’s a magical spot to relax and explore our range of handcrafted wines.
We offer a few ways to taste, depending on how much guidance you would like and how much time you’ve got:
- Tasting du jour - $15pp: 4 wines, guided (a great overview).
- Premium tasting - $30pp: 4 premium wines, guided (more depth and detail).
- Self-guided tasting - $10pp: 4 wines at your own pace.
- Private tasting in the cave - $90pp: 90-minute experience tasting the full range (our premium, immersive tasting option).
You’re also welcome to simply enjoy a glass of wine, and add a charcuterie selection to share.
Private Tastings in The Cave
Beneath the cellar door, our Cave offers a more intimate setting designed for a more immersive tasting experience. Ideal for small groups, special occasions, or those wanting a more private visit. The Cave offers a guided tasting that delves into the vineyard, vintage and the stories behind each wine.
