| Jackson Estate Grey Ghost Sauvignon Blanc 2008 |

|
The Grey Ghost is named for the giant gum tree planted at Jackson Estate in 1867 by our great grandmother, Alice Jackson. The wine was handcrafted from specially selected parcels of grapes from the exceptional 2008 vintage. Hand picked and whole bunched pressed, the wine was partially fermented in older French oak barriques and aged for several months on yeast lees before bottling in November 2008. Strong aromatics of gunflint, gooseberry and blackcurrant lead to a rich and focused palate dominated by ripe yellow fruit and mineral wash, all bound by a long and savoury finish.
