This vineyard is situated on Gifford’s Road, an extension of Jacksons Road near the Wairau River. Our sauvignon blanc vines are pruned to two canes to reduce yields and increase the intensity of flavour in the grapes. The soil is very light and free draining, with less topsoil, stony and sandy. The fruit grown here is punchy with aromas of lifted nettles, cut grass and fresh basil. See this vineyard with Google Earth.
