The vineyard is planted with both pinot noir and sauvignon blanc and it located on the
western side of the Waihopai Valley Road in the lee of the Delta Hill. This region of
Marlborough is known for extremes in climate variance between very warm days and very cool nights.
This maximises flavour intensity and produces pure and concentrated fruit flavours. The warm days and
cool nights help the wines achieve great physiological ripeness and aid in the flavour development of tannins in the pinot noir.
Somerset grown sauvignon blanc has striking aromatics in the tropical and stonefruit spectrum, and contributes structure,
depth and texture to Stich Sauvignon Blanc. See this vineyard with Google Earth. |
